Job description

Our Mindset
Here's to those who think differently. The ones who think that a car dealership's first priority should be the guest. Such a candid idea could only come from Ourisman. Because we're forward thinking, just like the communities we serve. Individuals who won't be constrained by how things "have always been done", but instead strive to do things "how they could be done" and "how they should be done." It is a philosophy we have infused into every fabric of our dealerships, from the bottom up, in every department, and in every Ourisman team member. Changing the way we all think about car buying is just the beginning.
Role Snapshot
As a Chevrolet Service Advisor, you'll be the key connection between guests and the service team-making sure every concern is understood, documented, and resolved with clarity and care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Welcome customers, listen to concerns, and confirm service needs
- Set appointments and open/communicate repair orders to technicians
- Explain recommended maintenance/repairs in straightforward terms
- Provide accurate estimates and secure authorization before work begins
- Share progress updates and revised completion times when needed
- Keep thorough records of customer interactions, services, and parts
- Support service sales while protecting a high CSI standard
What We Look For:
- Prior service advisor/ASM experience preferred (automotive)
- Strong customer service, sales, and organizational skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Reynolds & Reynolds and Xtime experience a plus
- Valid driver's license
A Typical Shift
Your day starts by reviewing the appointment board and preparing for arriving guests. You'll move between the drive and your workstation-checking in customers, translating their concerns into clear notes, and keeping the flow moving as the shop fills up. Throughout the day, you'll balance quick questions, phone calls, and updates, making sure customers understand what's happening and what it may cost before anything changes. As work progresses, you'll touch base with technicians, adjust timelines when needed, and close out repair orders with accurate documentation so customers leave informed and taken care of.
