Work Environment

This position operates fully remotely within a telehealth framework, enabling our therapists to provide care in a flexible environment that prioritizes work-life balance. Working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, therapists have the opportunity to make a real difference from the comfort of their home, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs. Our telehealth platform ensures seamless connectivity with clients and allows for compliance with privacy standards while facilitating effective treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify individual needs, establish treatment goals, and tailor clinical interventions effectively.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practices, ensuring continuity and quality of care.

• Deliver one-on-one counseling sessions utilizing motivational interviewing techniques and cognitive-behavioral therapy approaches to facilitate personal growth.

• Facilitate dynamic group therapy sessions that encourage mutual support among participants while addressing common challenges faced in recovery.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to create integrated care pathways for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention support during substance-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective response to patient needs.

• Educate patients and their families about substance use disorders, effective recovery strategies, and available community resources to encourage informed decision-making.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of patient interactions while adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular professional development through case consultations and team meetings aimed at elevating treatment approaches and sharing best practices.

• Stay current with advancements in substance use disorder treatment and integrate innovative methodologies into clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Therapist at Change Point Counseling Center, you will work primarily with individuals facing substance use disorders, including those in varying stages of recovery. Your role will involve addressing a diverse range of patient backgrounds, needs, and challenges, requiring you to employ empathy and holistic understanding to foster a supportive therapeutic environment. You will be instrumental in guiding clients as they navigate their unique recovery journeys and prioritize their health and well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois, essential for practice.

• A robust understanding of substance use disorders, evidenced by experience in implementing recovery-oriented care and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proven ability to deliver effective individual and group therapy tailored to the needs of clients in addiction treatment.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a non-judgmental, compassionate approach to patient interactions.

• Expertise in maintaining professional boundaries while adhering to ethical guidelines and ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with various computer applications pertinent to telehealth.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of relevant experience in delivering mental health counseling focused on substance use disorders.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package includes a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience, along with performance-based bonuses and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. Our robust benefits package includes:
