Work EnvironmentThis remote role offers the flexibility of working from home while also ensuring connectivity with a team of professionals dedicated to improving clients' lives. Normal working hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some evening shifts possible to accommodate patient needs. You will have the opportunity to collaborate virtually with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and addiction medicine specialists, ensuring coordinated, efficient care.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough assessments for each patient seeking substance use treatment, determining their unique needs and recovery goals.
Develop personalized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based interventions tailored to individual circumstances.
Deliver effective individual counseling, applying therapeutic techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to facilitate client engagement.
Facilitate and lead group therapy sessions aimed at fostering community and peer support among individuals in recovery.
Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
Provide crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing substance-related emergencies, ensuring immediate assistance and safety.
Educate patients and their families about addiction, recovery methods, and available community resources that could aid their journey.
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring ethical and legal standards are consistently met.
Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to enhance your therapeutic skills and clinical best practices.
Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in substance use disorder treatment, adapting your practices accordingly.
You will primarily work with individuals affected by substance use disorders, which requires a nuanced understanding of addiction dynamics, recovery trajectories, and the impact of substance use on family systems. This role not only involves direct patient interaction but also extends to family education and support to create a robust recovery environment.
QualificationsA Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
A current and valid professional licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
Demonstrated knowledge of substance use disorders, therapeutic techniques, and recovery-oriented care principles.
Experience in providing both individual and group therapy, particularly in contexts addressing addiction treatment.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach toward treatment.
Proficient in maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to ethical guidelines, ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and proficiency in required computer applications.
Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to an integrated approach to care.
At least one year of experience in a mental health and substance use disorder treatment setting is preferred.
Experience with specific therapeutic modalities related to substance use recovery.
The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, complemented by performance-based bonuses. We also offer a competitive sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
