Position Overview

Centuria Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time position will be performed remotely, providing mental health services to a diverse clientele. You will play a pivotal role in improving clients' mental health and well-being through comprehensive assessments, individualized therapy, and collaborative care plans. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and initial assessments through virtual consultations, thoroughly documenting clients' backgrounds and presenting challenges.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans for individuals, couples, families, and group therapy, ensuring alignment with best practices and evidence-based interventions.
  • Facilitate engaging and impactful therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, to address diverse mental health needs and promote healing.
  • Monitor clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting strategies as necessary to promote optimal outcomes and engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide follow-up support for clients who may need additional resources or modifications to their treatment plans, particularly those who transition to or from a hospital setting.
  • Assist clients' family members and caregivers in navigating mental health challenges, helping to foster a supportive home environment conducive to recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a part of Centuria Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a broad mix of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Our clientele often presents with a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use disorders, and more. Your role as a counselor will involve tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each client, fostering a trusting atmosphere where positive change can take place.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona is required.
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
Preferred Experience
  • Proven experience as a mental health counselor, whether in a clinical or community setting.
  • Competency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to document and track client progress effectively.
  • A strong understanding of both physical and emotional health conditions and their intersection with mental health.
  • Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) code of ethics and best practices.
  • Adept in the understanding of prescribed medications and their impact on mental health treatment and recovery processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, characterized by empathetic communication and active listening abilities.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, with opportunities for a sign-on bonus.
