Central Valley is a leading family-owned and operated building supply company with eight locations throughout Northern California. We have been in business since 1955 and have grown to become one of the largest regional suppliers of building and agricultural products in the United States. Central Valley has been voted among the Best Places to work in the North Bay by the North Bay Business Journal. We are currently seeking a Load Builder for our Woodland facility.
The Load Builder performs routine loading and unloading of materials within the yard and warehouse; assembles load packages onto trucks for delivery to customer job sites. Works safely at all times.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2-years' Forklift experience
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to use basic hand tools
  • Manual dexterity
  • Lumber and/or building materials experience desired

JOB DUTIES:
  • Reads and correctly pulls material listed on pick tickets.
  • Loads and unloads materials for delivery.
  • Operates and maintains forklift and other equipment safely.
  • Identifies and locates the various types of materials carried in the yard and warehouse.
  • Ensures that all materials are safely secured for delivery.
  • Accuracy in pulling product and building loads.
  • Counts and checks the quality and condition of all outgoing products.
  • Keeps outside yard clean and secure.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Walking: 6-8+ hours per day
• Standing: 6-8+ hours per day
• Bending/Twisting: 3-6 hours per day
• Squatting/Stooping: 3-6 hours per day
• Climbing: Up to 3 hours per day
• Kneeling Crawling: 3-6 hours per day
• Pushing/Pulling: 3-6 hours per day
• Hand Dexterity: 6-8+ hours per day
• Lifting 0-25 lbs.: 3-6+ hours per day
• Lifting 26-60 lbs.: 3-6 hours per day
• Carrying 0-25 lbs.: 3-6 hours per day
• Carrying 26-60 lbs.: 3-6 hours per day
