Key Responsibilities

As an LMFT, you will engage with couples and families in various therapeutic settings. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand the dynamics within families and develop tailored therapeutic plans.
  • Facilitating couples and family therapy sessions, addressing issues such as conflicts, communication barriers, and relational dynamics.
  • Providing individual therapy sessions focused on personal issues including grief, job stress, and medical concerns.
  • Implementing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to assist families in navigating challenges such as abuse, separation, and blended family adjustments.
  • Documenting patient progress and adapting treatment plans based on individual needs and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to create a unified approach to patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with a diverse population, including:

  • Couples in distress and seeking resolution to interpersonal conflicts.
  • Families dealing with various challenges such as blended family dynamics, issues related to separation and divorce, and coping with grief and loss.
  • Individuals experiencing job stress, medical issues, and communication difficulties within familial relationships.

By providing tailored therapeutic support, you will contribute fundamentally to improved mental health outcomes across these demographic groups.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must hold the following qualifications:

  • A valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality patient care and achieving clinical excellence.
Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Previous experience in a clinical outpatient setting, providing therapy to couples, families, and individuals.
  • Familiarity with telehealth services and adaptability to provide both in-person and remote therapy as needed.
