Position Overview

Catalina Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team on a full-time basis. As a vital member of our mental health services division, you will play an instrumental role in providing individualized therapeutic care to clients, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote emotional stability and personal growth.

About the Organization

At Catalina Behavioral Health, we are committed to delivering high-quality mental health services to individuals and families, particularly those facing barriers to accessing care. Our organization values a holistic approach to mental health, focusing not just on treatment but also on the overall well-being and development of our clients. Our experienced professionals are equipped to address a wide array of mental health challenges, and we pride ourselves on creating a supportive, collaborative environment for our staff and clients alike.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, providing you with the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home while engaging in meaningful, impactful work. As a remote counselor, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive client care is delivered seamlessly. Our outpatient office setting emphasizes accessibility and personalized service, enabling you to focus on what you do best—supporting your clients on their journey to mental wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to formulate individualized treatment plans for clients, ensuring their unique needs are met.
  • Provide a range of therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, family, and couples therapy, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused short-term therapy.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation that adheres to state and federal regulations, emphasizing legal and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to coordinate care and improve client outcomes, including regular participation in team meetings and case consultations.
  • Stay current with advancements in mental health practices through ongoing professional development and training opportunities, including workshops and conferences.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on clients seeking support for a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, substance misuse, and trauma. You will work with individuals and families who often have limited access to mental health resources, making your role crucial in bridging that gap and ensuring they receive the care they need.

Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably within a clinical or outpatient context.
  • Strong understanding and application of legal and ethical standards in practice.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and other relevant technologies for treatment documentation and billing purposes.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use disorders is highly preferred.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and management.
  • Familiarity with community resources and referral processes for clients with complex needs.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload. Additionally, our compensation package includes access to dental, vision, and health insurance, as well as malpractice insurance. You will also benefit from a steady influx of client referrals, along with billing and documentation support to reduce administrative burdens.

Career Growth Opportunities

Catalina Behavioral Health is committed to the professional growth of our staff. We actively encourage and support your participation in workshops, seminars, and continued education programs. As you develop your expertise, there are opportunities for career advancement within our organization, potentially leading to leadership roles in inpatient or outpatient services as well as specialization in focused therapeutic modalities.

Why Join Our Team
