Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A CANYON RANCH COLLEAGUE:

  • Lead Fitness, Mind-Body, and Outdoor Sports experiences, ensuring exceptional service and memorable guest experiences across all wellness offerings.
  • Collaborate with the Programming team and wellness providers to develop innovative classes, activities, and retreat experiences that enhance the guest journey.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring programs, facilities, equipment, trails, supplies, and retail areas are safe, well-maintained, and guest-ready at all times.
  • Manage, coach, and develop team members by supporting professional growth, conducting performance reviews, overseeing scheduling and timekeeping, and ensuring required certifications remain current.
  • Build strong partnerships with Programming, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Guest Services, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless operations and successful group programs.
  • Serve as a visible leader, resolving guest concerns, maintaining operational excellence, and continuously identifying opportunities to elevate service, safety, and overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Bring 3–5 years of leadership experience in spa, wellness, hospitality, fitness, recreation, or a related guest-focused environment, with a proven ability to manage teams and operations.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (required); a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CPR/First Aid certification required, with additional certifications such as Personal Training, Group Fitness, Yoga Instruction, or Outdoor Leadership preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop a diverse team while delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Possess strong business acumen, including experience managing budgets, forecasting, revenue-generating operations, and using property management and Microsoft Office systems.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment by effectively prioritizing multiple responsibilities, solving problems proactively, maintaining attention to detail, and remaining calm under pressure while ensuring operational excellence and safety standards are met.
