Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is a professional position responsible for facilitating organizational studies and evaluations, work simplifications and measurement studies, providing technical assistance, and assisting in the development of operations and procedures to the Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU).
Maintain project files, document protocols, and procedures related to data access, collection, analysis/sharing, related protocols and procedures for quality assurance. Assist in compiling data, generating, and distributing regular reports to internal units and leadership.
Gathers and organizes information on programs, services, forms or reports, and confers with management to identify problems and improvements.
Provides technical assistance, analyzes information, and creates reports and/or other written products.
Reviews and archives documents. Confers with management and users to identify problems and improvements. Contacts appropriate parties to ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and court orders, as needed.
Prepares manuals and conducts training on use of new forms, reports, procedures, or equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar; communicating effectively with others in writing; listening to what other people are saying and asking questions as appropriate; talking to others to effectively convey information; understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents; knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures and government rules & regulations; knowledge of office procedures and practices; ability to prepare correspondence and administrative reports; knowledge of basic quality assurance principles and practices; knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis; ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of management practices; ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials; ability to utilize problem-solving techniques; ability to work independently; ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; knowledge and use of the compliance management system and licensing system used by the Agency; ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Qualifications:
Preference will be given to those who meet the following minimum requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and;
- 3+ years professional proficiency with Microsoft Office/Office 365, Adobe, and similar office programs.
- 3+ years background in reviewing files and/or documents, making comparisons to an established standard, and identifying errors?
- College education can substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred candidates should possess:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply written instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to proofread and edit for proper grammar, spelling, context, and providing feedback to management.
- Ability to prepare clear, accurate correspondence and reports.
- Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data to support decisionmaking.
- Strong problemsolving and organizational skills; able to work independently.
