Description:

We seek a seasoned Software Engineer with a wealth of experience in software architecture and microservice development. This role is designed for a professional adept at collaborating with data scientists and developers to refine and expand functionalities, particularly for the enhanced exploitation and analysis of cyber data. The successful candidate will be a crucial player in a multidisciplinary team, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in cyber data utilization and analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the team to scale and adapt functionalities for broader user engagement, emphasizing scalability and performance optimization.
  • Lead in designing and enhancing system capabilities, ensuring tight collaboration with data scientists and software developers to meet project milestones.
  • Design and implement interfaces and integrations for seamless operations within the production environment, focusing on efficient data processing and analysis workflows.
  • Engage in a data science-focused development environment, applying best practices to bridge the data science and software engineering gap.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels among all stakeholders to ensure system coherence and operational efficiency.
  • Document, analyze, and communicate user needs and software requirements, translating complex functionalities into understandable and actionable items.
  • Spearhead development of system prototypes, showcasing innovative solutions and guiding the transition from concept to large-scale deployment.
  • Provide technical leadership in architecting and implementing IT solutions, focusing on developing secure, efficient, and scalable microservices.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of prototypes, particularly for exploring and exploiting cyber data.
  • Create, test, and validate software systems, ensuring documentation accuracy and adherence to best practices.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in a data science development environment, with a proven track record of facilitating effective collaboration among system stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing architectural guidance for scaling prototypes to enterprise-level solutions.
  • Security clearance required: TS/SCI Full Scope Poly
  • Strong software development and data science foundation, with experience developing prototype software for cyber data exploitation.
  • Expertise in data modeling and the development of extensible frameworks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of network protocols, with hands-on experience in packet processing and analysis.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java, and familiarity with Linux system administration, Docker, ReactJS/Javascript, RabbitMQ, Swagger REST API, and Neo4J Graph Database.
  • Demonstrated experience in full lifecycle development and programming, focusing on application development.

Optional Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with the Elastic stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana) is highly desirable.
