Position Overview

Flourish Counsel Connect is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to work remotely while also having access to our outpatient office in Joliet, Illinois. As an LMFT, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality behavioral healthcare to individuals and families, aiming to foster resilience, enhance relationships, and improve overall mental health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments on couples and individual clients to identify issues impacting mental health and family dynamics.
  • Facilitating therapy sessions with couples, as well as individual sessions for each partner, to address personal and relational challenges.
  • Helping families navigate difficult situations such as grief, conflict, and adjustment to life changes.
  • Designing tailored intervention plans and utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care that encompasses both mental and physical health.
  • Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay updated on the latest research and treatment methodologies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve assisting clients facing a variety of challenges, including:

  • Alcohol and substance abuse issues.
  • Experiences of psychological or physical abuse.
  • Grief and loss, navigating through mourning processes.
  • Family conflicts, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
  • Challenges in blended family dynamics, including remarriage and adjustment.
  • Job-related stressors and their impact on personal well-being.
  • Facilitating transitions during separation and divorce proceedings.
  • Addressing conflicts specific to parent-child relationships, particularly between mothers and daughters.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Must hold a current and active Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential.
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and a passion for patient care.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences will enhance your candidacy:

  • Previous experience in a clinical setting, particularly in outpatient services.
  • Proficiency in providing both telehealth and in-person therapeutic services.
