Dispatcher | Alabaster, AL (Onsite)
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact every day? CEG's industry leading environmental services client is seeking a Dispatcher to join their growing team in Alabaster, AL! This role will oversee the daily planning and scheduling of their Plant Services and Infrastructure Division's resources. This direct hire role is perfect for an individual who excels in problem-solving, enjoys helping others, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling and Resource Allocation:
    • Allocate people and resources daily to maximize utilization and job profitability.
    • Determine the best-fit skill sets and labor for each job scope.
    • Schedule appropriate personnel, equipment, and resources for each job.
    • Create service orders and daily appointments in Acumatica (ERP system).
    • Ensure accurate listing of people, resources, and equipment on project paperwork.
    • Enter dates and times accurately for financial projections.
    • Publish upcoming work schedules for necessary management and field supervision.
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Call personnel to confirm their understanding of the job scope.
    • Coordinate with the Fleet Manager and Shop Foreman on equipment maintenance, balancing customer needs.
    • Inform the fleet maintenance team of any potential issues impacting the schedule.
    • Work with the maintenance team on the usage of the onsite wash bay.
    • Assist in maintenance during emergency situations, including providing locations during mechanical breakdowns or tire repairs and occasionally picking up drivers for external maintenance.
  • Job Preparation and PPE Management:
    • Assist in job preparation and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) allocation.
    • Prepare PPE for the next day using the PPE sign-in and sign-out system for proper allocation and cost management.
    • Collaborate with the Safety Manager on PPE stock and upcoming needs.
    • Assist Superintendents and Foremen with job preparation as needed, including loading equipment and ensuring all tools and accessories are ready for use.
  • Master Schedule and Payroll Management:
    • Maintain the master schedule and input payroll data in Acumatica.
    • Approve, report, and record all instances of tardiness, absenteeism, call-ins, PTO, vacation, and banker hours for employees.
    • Record field employee call-ins, absenteeism, tardiness, and refusals to work.
    • Approve and submit PTO and vacation requests in accordance with the employee handbook and upcoming work schedule.
  • Compliance and Coordination:
    • Ensure all CDL drivers comply with DOT regulations, including proper completion of pre and post trips, adherence to DOT time rules, and utilization of ELDs in CDL equipment.
    • Coordinate with other divisions on joint projects.
    • Maintain constant communication with other divisions and locations about potential needs and upcoming work.
