Outside Sales Representative | Shreveport/Bossier City, Louisiana (Onsite)

CEG's premier client in the construction technology industry is actively seeking a proactive and results-driven Outside Sales Rep with a passion for consultative sales to join their team in Shreveport/Bossier City, LA.

The Outside Sales Representative will play a pivotal role in driving company growth and developing an ever-growing territory. Using a refined ability to communicate with a keen eye for detail to identify problems, the Outside Sales Rep will work closely with clients to implement solutions involving machine control systems, site positioning systems, paving control systems, and software solutions. This role is an opportunity to work closely with the most cutting-edge technology and be a driving force in innovating the construction industry to more efficiently build the communities we call home.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster strong and enduring client relationships, prioritizing trust and rapport building.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to grasp each client's specific challenges and business goals deeply.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering tailored guidance and recommendations on solutions aimed at solving client pain points.
  • Execute client meetings that effectively demonstrate proposed solutions, emphasize solution value, and negotiate sales agreements and solution implementation.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competition, and product developments.
  • Engage in networking to expand the client base and build new relationships.
  • Develop and implement clear, measurable strategic account plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline progress.
  • Swiftly address and resolve client concerns to ensure satisfaction.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize client value.
  • Pursue ongoing sales training and self-improvement.
  • Streamline processes to enhance efficiency and client experience.
  • Report on sales performance, providing insights for improvement.
  • Adapt to shifting market dynamics and evolving client needs to ensure ongoing success.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Must be disciplined and focused to effectively cover and grow territory.
  • Must be sales-driven and experienced with consultative selling techniques.
  • Must be able to travel for extended periods of time within the territory.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in the construction or surveying industry OR 2+ years in outside sales.
  • Experience working for a heavy equipment manufacturer or national rental chain.
  • Knowledge of equipment and basic mechanics.
  • Well-developed communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Basic computer skills with knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to create and deliver PowerPoint presentations.
  • Comfortable with all levels of management as well as field personnel.
