Position Summary... What you'll do...Role summary:
The (USA) Specialist, Building Controls plays a key role in optimizing building performance by applying expertise in building management systems and controls programming. This position involves diagnosing issues, implementing proactive solutions, and supporting sustainability initiatives to enhance energy efficiency. The Specialist contributes to optimizing building performance by applying advanced programming techniques and diagnostic methods to HVAC and building management systems.  The specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to prioritize tasks, communicate progress, and drive continuous improvement. By adhering to company policies and fostering strong partnerships, this role ensures high-quality service delivery while maintaining safety and cost-effectiveness in building operations.
  About the team:
The Building Management System (BMS) team supports Walmart Corporate Real Estate by managing facility operations and ensuring compliance with safety and ethical standards. The team focuses on energy analysis, data classification, and executing sustainability masterplans. Members collaborate to optimize building performance and controls, applying technical expertise in diagnostics, programming, and process improvement. Working closely with stakeholders, the team maintains secure and efficient environments while driving continuous improvement. Their efforts align with Walmart’s commitment to operational excellence and responsible resource management, promoting accountability and integrity in all activities.
  What you'll do:
  • Collaborate with teams to assess building performance and controls, aligning work with customer needs and business priorities.
  • Execute diagnostic techniques and programming methods to provide proactive solutions that enhance building controls systems.
  • Manage special programming projects, adapting strategies to address trends, alarms, recalls, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Communicate progress and collaborate with managers, coworkers, and stakeholders to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Provide expert guidance on best practices, supporting continuous improvement and adaptation to organizational changes.
  • Build strong partnerships to implement business solutions that optimize safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

What you'll bring:
  • 1 year of experience in building controls, HVAC systems, and building management systems to optimize building performance.
  • Strong skills in programming, diagnostics, and implementing solutions to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and respond effectively to alarms, recalls, and maintenance needs.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing priorities to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical writing to communicate progress and recommendations clearly.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
