Job description

Working in the Research, Technology, and Collections Department, the Graduate Assistant will participate in Collections Unit operations related to acquisitions, collection development, copy cataloging, and electronic resources. The Graduate Assistant will develop and implement a collection maintenance projects with guidance and supervision from the Collection Development Librarian. This position is for one year, with a reevaluation period for continuation. This position will not exceed two years. The Graduate Assistant will be provided with a professional development opportunity each year. This position requires on-site work.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None

Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements collection projects, located within the circulating collection;
  • Assists in maintaining subscription information and assists in renewals;
  • Conducts data analysis in support of department-level report preparation as needed;
  • Receives new materials requested by faculty and liaisons;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Currently?enrolled in a Master of Library and Information Sciences (MLIS) graduate program.

Salary Description
21.73 per hour
