Skillset / Experience:
We are seeking an Application Support Engineer to support a customer-facing application. This role focuses on managing support tickets, troubleshooting application issues, and owning problems through resolution. The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of programming, can read and make minor updates to code, and takes strong ownership of their work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in application or production support
- Basic understanding of programming concepts
- Experience with Python and Java
- Ability to read and understand existing code and make small changes
- Database experience (any database), including basic querying or data updates
- Experience working with ticketing systems
- Strong communication skills with customers
- Manage day-to-day application support and customer-reported issues
- Own support tickets from intake to resolution
- Investigate issues by reviewing application behavior, code, and data
- Identify required database or application changes to resolve requests
- Write and execute small code updates or scripts
- Communicate clearly with customers on issue status and resolution
- Document resolutions and maintain run tickets
- Identify repeat issues and help drive basic automation
- AWS experience is a plus, but not required
