Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Brain Builders Counseling Center, located in Brookhaven, New York. Work Environment

This is a remote position with support from an outpatient office located in Brookhaven, NY. This setting allows therapists flexibility in their work-life balance while having access to a collaborative team atmosphere. Our use of advanced telehealth platforms ensures that you can efficiently conduct sessions with patients from the comfort of your home or designated workspace, allowing you to focus on what truly matters: your patients. You will have access to wellness resources and support from management, which prioritizes mental health for both clients and practitioners.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients’ mental health challenges, formulate clinical diagnoses, and develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Provide various therapeutic services, including individual, group, and family therapy, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care.
• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support for clients in acute mental health distress, ensuring safety and a pathway to recovery.
• Maintain meticulous and secure client records, including treatment plans and progress notes, while adhering to ethical and legal standards.
• Engage in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate and enhance the quality of care for clients.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health topics, treatment options, and community resources available to assist in their journey towards recovery.
• Commit to continuous professional development through training, workshops, and peer collaboration to stay abreast of best practices in mental health therapy.

At Brain Builders Counseling Center, we serve clients from diverse backgrounds, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R) is required.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related mental health field is essential.
• Demonstrated clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to formulate effective treatment strategies.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience providing therapeutic services in a clinical setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the establishment of rapport with clients and team members alike.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a supportive team.
• A commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards in mental health care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a clinical setting is preferred, providing familiarity with therapeutic practices and client engagement.
• Previous background in providing telehealth services would be a plus.
• Knowledge of community mental health resources and support services.

Compensation and Benefits
