Job description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer for an innovative manufacturing company in Leominster, MA. The primary responsibilities will be to design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems and components for large machinery using 3D modeling tools, technical documentation, and hands-on problem-solving to ensure manufacturability and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize mechanical components and systems using 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
  • Create and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Leverage knowledge of geometry, mathematics, and GD&T to achieve tight tolerances and exacting standards.
  • Develop and maintain engineering documents, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical reports, and assembly guides.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align designs with manufacturing capabilities and project requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, applying hands-on problem-solving to improve performance.

MUST HAVES:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated real-world experience with mechanical systems, machinery, or fabrication processes
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventory, Auto CAD
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and mechanical design principles
  • Previous experience with CNC programming a plus
