Job Description

This role is part of the product marketing team for Columbia Threadneedle Investments US, reporting to Senior Manager, ETFs. In this position, you will play a critical role focused on creating awareness, driving growth, and managing content in support of our ETF product line. You will operate both strategically and tactically, working cross-functionally with internal marketing colleagues, sales, product, investments and compliance to amplify product messaging across distribution channels.
The ideal candidate is a proactive self starter who can take ideas and independently drive them forward. They are adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable navigating ambiguity. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Create compelling marketing messaging supporting our ETF lineup that resonates with financial advisors and other target audiences. Apply messaging to marketing collateral that supports the lifecycle from awareness through consideration and purchase.

Maintain a suite of marketing materials that support the lifecycle. Ensure collateral is updated on a regular cadence. This will involve working with stakeholders across investments, product, marketing and compliance.

Establish connectivity across stakeholder teams to ensure marketing materials are effective. Establish metrics, measure results and use the results to make recommendations to enhance product specific marketing initiatives/programs.

Design, develop and execute implementation plan for complex product marketing programs/initiatives that support our ETF capabilities. Partner with internal or external partners to ensure execution of projects is on-time, and within budget.

Build and maintain effective relationships across the organization to ensure alignment and connectivity of messaging. These teams will include Paid Media, Thought Leadership, and Digital along with external resources.
Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of financial services marketing experience, including experience marketing ETFs to financial advisors

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent in a related field

  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Ability to take ambiguous or conceptual ideas and turn them into tactical campaigns

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to translate complex concepts into easy-to-understand language

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills; familiarity with Microsoft Excel


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with content and project management systems (e.g. Bloomreach, Seismic, Workfront etc.)

In-Office Collaboration


We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $94,000- $129,000 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
