Marine Electrician I
This position is located on shite in our Bayou La Batre, AL shipyard

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Distinguish colors on Multi-Conductor Cable and understand color codes.
- Connect Single Phase and Three Phase Motors.
- Can connect Single and Three Phase Transformers.
- Proper operation of ABT and MBT.
- Work with all voltages in AC Power Distribution up to 1000Volts.
- Parallel circuitry in both AC and DC.
- Connect Generators, check phase rotation of Generator, and parallel Generators.
- Change rotation on a three-phase motor.
- Knows proper sizes of Motor Starters (NEMA Ratings).
- Can check amp draw on equipment.
- Can trouble shoot wiring and equipment.
- Can troubleshoot MSLC and DSLC circuits.
- Terminates and understand PLC Circuits and Motor controllers.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
- Possesses a High School Diploma or GED.
- 5 years of experience as a marine electrician.
- Fundamental knowledge in marine electrical systems.
