Job description

Bargain Hunters in Brunswick, OH is looking for one cashier to join our team. Great opportunity to learn and grow with us. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers entering and leaving the business
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area
  • Accurately process all cash and credit payments
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Ensure prices and quantities are accurate when checking out our customers
  • Accept payments and issue receipts
  • Answer inquiries, and provide helpful information to customers about merchandise or item location
  • Must be able to properly respond to complaints, process refunds or exchanges of items, and
  • Welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice or recommendations
  • Operating cash registers
  • Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales
  • Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer
  • Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport
  • Additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

  • Bargain Hunters is looking for an efficient, courteous Cashier who possesses excellent customer service skills
  • To succeed as a Cashier, you should have a strong work ethic and a high level of accuracy
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
