Purpose of the role
To develop strategy, plan, direct, control and manage the delivery and operations of building engineering infrastructure services in partnership with service providers across the Banks property portfolio. To ensure safety, compliance, resilience, reliability, risk mitigation and business requirements are met.

As US Building Operations Director Lead, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management and oversight of building engineering infrastructure across the US portfolio. - Operations background in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing)
- Building engineering operations experience within the financial sector or equivalent corporate environment with a focus on being 'Always on'
- Qualified in either Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- Experience of delivering building engineering services in a mixed portfolio of critical and complex environments during occupancy (e.g. trade floors, data centres, campuses, call centres)
- Demonstrable experience of risk and incident management within critical and complex environments.
Other highly valued skills include:
- Management of multi-professional teams, inter stakeholders and projects.
- Experience of delivering engineering solutions across a large portfolio.
Accountabilities
- Manage and make decisions for the maintenance, delivery and operation of building services engineering, technical services and energy management across the Bank's Americas property portfolio and infrastructure assets, working in partnership with service providers. This includes planned and reactive maintenance, utility-related assets such as electricity, gas and water, and the consistent application of policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure risks are effectively managed and controlled.
- Provide strategic direction, governance, and technical advisory expertise to internal and external stakeholders to drive optimisation, efficiency, safety, compliance, resilience, reliability and mitigate risk for building engineering infrastructure across the portfolio.
- Regional lead with overall responsibility for the management and coordination of various building engineering infrastructure suppliers delivering services to the Bank. This also includes performance management in line with service agreements and KPIs
- End to end management, development and execution of building engineering infrastructure projects and proposals in-line with the banks specifications, sustainability initiatives, regulatory requirements, evolving industry best practice, safety, quality, on time and at competitive cost.
- Operational client function lead for the management and delivery of building engineering infrastructure services and energy management at the Data Centres and critical sites, together with the DC Engineering Lead.
- Be a trusted partner to the Global Engineering & Innovation Lead, sharing key market & sector trends to help inform decisions as well as enhancing our colleague and customer experience.
