Job description

Senior Construction Manager - Drive a Greener Future with the @One Alliance
Location: Peterborough / Hybrid

Who are we?

We're the @one Alliance - a ground-breaking collaboration between Anglian Water and seven industry-leading partners: Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO. Together, we deliver over half of Anglian Water's capital investment programme.

As we prepare for Year 2 of AMP8, our most ambitious period yet, we'll be delivering an even broader range of innovative and environmentally-driven infrastructure projects - from urban drainage to nature-based solutions like constructed wetlands.

Why join us?

Join us as a Senior Construction Manager and take the lead in shaping the successful delivery of major projects from concept to completion. You'll inspire and guide high-performing teams, driving excellence across safety, quality, cost, and programme while championing collaboration and continuous improvement. This is a unique opportunity to influence a portfolio of projects, work closely with supply chain partners, and deliver innovative, efficient solutions that make a real impact-while fostering a culture where best practice and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do.

What you'll be doing:

🟢 Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing, integrated construction management team.

🟢 Blend people with the right, skills, experience and competency to deliver the projects/Portfolios.

🟢 Drive talent development and workforce planning to ensure a competent, future-ready team.

🟢 Champion consistent ways of working, embedding systems, processes, and best practice across all activities.

🟢 Collaborate with multidisciplinary partners and supply chain to deliver safe, high-quality projects on time and within budget.

🟢 Align and manage resources across projects, working closely with senior leadership to meet business needs.

🟢 Monitor project performance, ensuring delivery stays on track and meets key objectives.

🟢 Strengthen supplier and stakeholder relationships while promoting efficient, cost-effective delivery solutions.

What you'll bring:

Extensive construction industry experience, with strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles, and project delivery.

Proven leadership ability, with a track record of inspiring and managing large, multidisciplinary teams.

Strong expertise in project planning, scheduling, and risk management, with a clear focus on time, cost, and quality.
