Job description

Overview
Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Systems & Network Administrator to support Headquarters United States Air Force (HAF/A10). In this role, you will provide comprehensive systems support, including planning, administration, maintenance, and development, to ensure the continuous availability and optimal performance of all AF/A10 IT systems and resources.
The HAF/A10 contract delivers technical, analytical, operational, programmatic, and planning subject-matter expertise to HAF/A10 and its component divisions to advance national security strategic plans, policies, concepts, and initiatives.
This is a full-time, on-site position located at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities
  • Helpdesk & Client Support. Serve as the first point of contact for all IT issues related to workstations, printers, scanners, and other peripherals maintained by the 844th Communications Squadron. Manage all helpdesk inquiries from receipt to resolution, escalating complex issues as necessary. Analyze helpdesk data to identify trends and implement preventive measures; provide an annual report on trends and preventive measures to the DAF/A10 Director of Staff.
    • Maintain a comprehensive trouble ticket log, including status monitoring and metrics reporting for the Monthly Status Report (MSR)
  • Systems & Network Administration. Serve as the intermediary between end-users and the 844th Communications Squadron, providing expert system administration and technical support for all operational systems. Manage configuration change control, status accounting, and audits, ensuring only approved changes are incorporated into software and documentation. Provide Client Support Technician (CST) support to ensure all community of interest systems, servers, and devices are online and supported.
  • Cybersecurity, Information Assurance & Compliance. Serve as Cybersecurity Liaison (CSL); develop, implement, and oversee the organization's cybersecurity program. Enforce all DoW, USCYBERCOM, DISA, and DAF cybersecurity policies, manage access control, and coordinate system modifications with the HQ AF cybersecurity office.
  • EMSEC & TMAP: Implement and maintain all preventive measures to ensure compliance with Emission Security (EMSEC) and Telecommunications Monitoring Assessment Program (TMAP) directives. Compliance: Ensure all systems and equipment are operated and maintained in accordance with all DoW, DISA, and AF security guidelines.
    • Maintain all authorized use and access control documentation.
  • Web & Application Support. Design, create, update, and maintain all AF/A10 SharePoint sites and other websites, ensuring content is current and compliant with data integrity standards. Analyze, develop, implement, and modify web-based applications, including encoding, debugging, and testing. Manage conference registration websites, surveys, and other custom applications as required.
    • Provide a summary of all website enhancements and problems encountered in the MSR.
  • Telecommunication & VTC Support. Provide overall technical administration and management for all telephone, telecommunication, and VTC systems. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all VTC hardware and software, and manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of VTC sessions. Provide end-user training for telephone devices and configure all phone equipment features.
    • Maintain and update the DAF/A10 telephone number database and organizational rosters monthly or as directed.
  • Asset & Records Management. ADPE Custodian: Perform all equipment custodian duties for Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE), including managing accounts, transfers, turn-ins, and coordinating all requests for new equipment and repairs.
  • Records Management: Provide oversight to ensure all electronic and paper records are managed in accordance with AFI 33-322, AFI 33-364, and the AFRIMS Records Disposition Schedule (or as appropriate).
    • Develop, maintain, and document an ADPE program for tracking all IT assets, and submit Reports of Survey (ROS) as required
  • Administrative & Task Management. Provide daily task management support, including assigning reminders to Action Officers (AOs) and ensuring the follow-up and closure of all office taskings. Serve as the Organizational Messaging Services POC (OMPAC) Trusted Agent (TA) and Open Mission Systems (OMS) Sub-Registration Authority (SRA). When directed, purchase and maintain periodicals, IT products, and other incidentals.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and be able to maintain it
Education: Bachelor's degree
Years of Experience: Three (3) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
Clearance: TS/SCI
Education: Master's degree
