Job description

Authentic helps insurance brokers create better insurance products for their clients. We provide the technology platform and behind-the-scenes support that lets brokers build custom insurance solutions for specific industries or customer groups. Think of us as the operating system that powers these specialized insurance offerings. For brokers, this means they can offer unique products their competitors don't have, earn more money, and spend less time on paperwork and administrative tasks. We handle the complex (technology, compliance, and partnerships with highly-rated insurance carriers), so they can focus on serving their customers and growing their business.
The Role
This role is built for a producer who's ready for more.
If you're a commercial insurance broker who has proven you can open doors, win business, and build lasting relationships, this is your opportunity to take that foundation and accelerate-with real ownership of the partnerships you create and earnings that reflect what you produce.
As a Sales Director, you'll own the full sales cycle for launching insurance programs with brokerage partners. You'll bring your network, your producer instincts, and your hustle. We'll bring the product, the underwriting, and a comp structure where your earnings actually track your performance.
What You'll Do
  • Own the end-to-end sales process for launching insurance programs with brokerage partners-from first conversation to signed partnership to premium on the books
  • Leverage and expand your network of brokerages to generate new partnership opportunities
  • Work directly with our underwriting team to structure programs and drive premium growth
  • Manage your pipeline in the CRM with rigorous, up-to-date records and clean sales reporting
  • Shape our go-to-market strategy and help scale Authentic's distribution partnerships as we grow
Who You Are
  • 4+ years in commercial insurance, ideally as a producer or broker at a retail or wholesale brokerage
  • P&C experience preferred, though we're open to other commercial lines if you have a proven track record of winning business
  • You've demonstrated you can generate opportunities and build relationships-you may not have a massive book yet, but you know how to hunt and you're ready to accelerate
  • A natural relationship builder who connects the dots between what a client needs and what's possible
  • Entrepreneurial and self-directed-you want to be paid for what you produce, not for showing up
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and the pace of an early-stage startup
Compensation
Base salary of $120,000-$150,000 with uncapped performance-based incentives of $100,000+. Producers hitting targets can expect $250,000+ OTE, and there's no ceiling beyond that.
