Job description

Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Spine Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse with RNFA for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey

Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse with RNFA to join the Department of Orthopedics at Morristown Medical Center. We are looking for a dedicated and reliable PA/APN to provide inpatient coverage for our orthopedic spine team. The team is looking for a part-time candidate who would be able to work on a rotating schedule covering day shifts, and intermittent weekends.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of orthopedic and/or spine experience, with previous experience in the OR as a first assist. Ideal candidates can work collaboratively with the team, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The primary role of the PA/APN is to assist in rounds, perform consultations, first assist in spine cases, order and interpret diagnostic tests, evaluate post operative patients, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient care. The role will also involve occasional cross-coverage with the orthopedic joint/trauma team where you will collaborate with the APPs and orthopedic residents. The team is committed to ensuring work-life balance for all staff and will work collaboratively to accommodate scheduling needs whenever possible.
