Job description

Job Summary:
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy machinery to support daily production while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and equipment care.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following company policies and operating procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Operating heavy equipment such as haul trucks, loaders, excavators, dozers, grader Water Trucks and Other Assigned Machinery
  • Perform pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and promptly report defects or maintenance needs.
  • Haul, stockpile and move material safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all safety policies, operating procedures and environmental regulations.
  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents or equipment damage immediately.
  • Maintain accurate inspection cards and required documentation.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned to support operational needs.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Meet production and quality expectations.
  • Operate equipment responsibly to minimize downtime and prevent damage.
  • Maintain professionalism and dependability.
  • Maintain a positive attitude while working as a part of the team.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment.
  • Ability to climb ladders and steps to enter/exit equipment safely.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Qualifications:
  • Experience operating heavy equipment in mining construction, quarry or industrial environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of safe equipment operating practices.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver's license required.
