Job description

ProHealth Partners is an established multi-specialty physician group and has been providing care to patients over the last 30 years. Our network includes over 250+ physicians in over 100+ clinics throughout the greater Long Beach, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire areas.

We currently have an opening for a Full-Time Medical Assistant Combo.

Job Type: Full-time, DIRECT HIRE

Pay: $23-25 per hour

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8-hour shifts

FRONT OFFICE

  • Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries.
  • Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and exam room utilization by efficiently scheduling appointments.
  • Keeps patient appointments on schedule by verifying patient insurance benefits and eligibility prior to the appointment; preparing necessary documents
  • Maintain optimum patient confidentiality and safety.

BACK OFFICE

  • Administer injections and draw blood.
  • Room patients, take and record vital signs, and prepare them for provider exams.
  • Document patient medical histories, chief complaints, and intake notes in the EMR.
  • Assist providers with in-office procedures.
  • Administer medications and immunizations.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens (e.g., blood, urine, swabs)
  • Ensure equipment is sanitized and functioning properly.
  • Coordinate follow-up care, including lab results, specialist referrals, and patient instructions.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • At least 2 years experience as an MA. Must be able to perform injections and draw blood.
  • Experience with Family Practice specialty.
  • MA Certified
  • CPR Certified
