Position
Job Title: Anatomical Pathology Applications Specialist
Position Summary:
The Anatomical Pathology (AP) Applications Specialist serves as the clinical and technical subject matter expert for Inpeco's anatomical pathology solutions, supporting, as technical expert, pre-sales, implementation, training, and post-installation activities. This role bridges product engineering, sales, service, and customer laboratories to ensure optimal clinical use, workflow integration, and customer satisfaction across histology, cytology, and digital pathology environments.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Technical Expertise
  • Act as the primary clinical expert for anatomical pathology products, including histology processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, cover slipping, and related digital or automation solutions.
  • Provide in-depth workflow analysis and consultative guidance to customers on optimizing laboratory efficiency, quality, and standardization.
  • Translate clinical and laboratory requirements into actionable feedback for product management and R&D teams.
Pre-Sales & Demonstrations
  • Support the commercial organization during pre-sales engagements by delivering product demonstrations, workflow presentations, and technical consultations.
  • Assist with tender responses, technical documentation, and value-based solution positioning.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to articulate clinical benefits, competitive differentiation, and ROI tied to AP workflows.
Implementation & Validation
  • Provide on-site and remote applications support during go-live phases, ensuring smooth adoption and operational readiness.
Training & Education
  • Support structured training programs for pathologists, histotechnologists, laboratory managers, and service teams.
  • Maintain training materials, SOPs, and best-practice documentation.
  • Serve as a technical resource at workshops, user meetings, and industry events.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required, degree in Biomedical Sciences, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field preferred.
  • HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) certification strongly preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in an anatomical pathology laboratory environment or equivalent applications role.
  • Experience with AP instrumentation, automation, and digital pathology solutions strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in medical devices, diagnostics, or IVD industry is highly desirable.

Travel Requirements
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically (and occasionally internationally), including overnight travel.
Work Environment
  • Combination of field-based customer sites activities, and remote work.
  • Requires the ability to work in laboratory environments and comply with safety and PPE requirements.
