Position Overview

Anchor Health Counseling is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team. In this full-time role, you will have the flexibility to work remotely while making a significant impact on the mental well-being of individuals and families within our community. This position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying an active caseload of clients and building rapport through empathetic communication and professional boundaries.
• Conducting regular sessions to assess client progress, discussing stability, scheduling appointments, and determining discharge appropriately.
• Developing, implementing, and continuously monitoring individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
• Documenting client interactions and progress notes in compliance with professional standards and clinic policies.
• Performing comprehensive intake assessments to identify clients' needs and set therapeutic goals.
• Facilitating individual therapy sessions while applying a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Engaging in individual supervision sessions to ensure continuous professional development and adherence to clinical best practices.
• Collaborating with other healthcare providers and professionals to create a multidisciplinary approach to mental health care.
• Fostering a culture of growth and learning by actively engaging in feedback and self-reflection.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
• Current, unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia.
• A minimum of one year of post-graduate experience working in a clinical outpatient setting.
• Strong proficiency with digital tools, including Excel, RMS systems, and electronic health record platforms such as PIMSY.
• A proven track record of delivering direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families.
• Competency in conducting intake assessments accurately and efficiently.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience are encouraged to apply:

• Experience using telehealth platforms for therapy sessions, adapting to remote care requirements.
• A background in specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Solution-Focused Therapy.
