Iberia Medical Center is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Information Systems Manager to oversee the hospital's IT infrastructure and lead a team responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing our information systems. The Information Systems Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of hospital systems, supporting clinical and administrative operations, and advancing our technology initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly desirable.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in healthcare IT systems (EMR, HIS), networking, data security, and virtualization technologies.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and data protection laws such as HIPAA.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff and collaborate across departments.
Principle Tasks, Responsibilities, Duties:
  • System Management & Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of the hospital's information systems, including electronic medical records (EMR), health information systems (HIS), and other key healthcare applications.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance on system administration, network security, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Data Security & Compliance: Ensure all hospital systems are compliant with relevant data protection regulations, including HIPAA, and implement measures to protect sensitive healthcare data.
  • Project Management: Lead IT projects, including software upgrades, hardware installations, and integration of new systems to support clinical and administrative functions.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure seamless integration and support of software and hardware solutions.
  • End-User Support: Coordinate with hospital departments to provide technical support, training, and troubleshooting for end-users of IT systems.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage the IT department's budget, including hardware, software, and staffing resources.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure continuity of operations in case of emergencies or system failures.
  • Innovation & Technology Strategy: Identify and implement emerging technologies to enhance hospital efficiency, patient care, and information security.
