Job description

This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing residential and light-commercial HVAC systems, with a strong focus on all-electrical heat pump systems, mini-splits, and high-efficiency equipment commonly used in Louisiana’s hot, humid climate. This position begins with a two‐week trial period to ensure a strong fit for both the technician and the company.

The HVAC Tech typically works within a 2-person team, performing local travel to service customer sites. Proficiency with standard HVAC diagnostic tools and adherence to safety protocols are essential. Opportunities for training and certification support are provided to foster professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Install residential and light-commercial HVAC systems
  • Maintain and repair heat pump systems and mini-splits
  • Perform system diagnostics using HVAC-specific tools
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical HVAC components
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
  • Document service and repair activities accurately
  • Collaborate with team members when necessary
  • Travel locally to customer locations

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in HVAC systems
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of HVAC system installation and electrical wiring
  • Expertise in heat pump technology and mini-split systems
