With an installed base of more than 42 million AI SoC units, Ambarella's products are utilized in a wide variety of physical edge AI applications, spanning edge endpoint and edge infrastructure use cases including physical security, vehicle safety, telematics, autonomy, portable video, aerial drones, and other emerging robotic applications. Building on this footprint, Ambarella offers a full-stackedge AI platform, from highly optimized silicon and programmablesoftware to AI agentic frameworks that coordinate perception, decision-making and control across devices.Ambarella's low-power systems-on-chip (SoCs) integrate proprietary and highly efficient perception and deep learning neural network AI accelerators, enabling electronic systems to become more productive with partial or complete levels of machine autonomy.

The Director, MIS - Software Applications at Ambarella will lead the strategy, development, and governance of our core enterprise application ecosystem. This role focuses on driving measurable business value by partnering with senior leadership, defining and executing an enterprise applications roadmap, and ensuring seamless endtoend lifecycle management across ERP, HRIS, Finance, Supply Chain, CRM, and other businesscritical platforms. This leader will champion strong application governance, enforce SOX and dataprivacy compliance, and proactively mitigate risk in collaboration with Information Security and Internal Audit. With oversight of global teams, system integrators, and software vendors, the Director will optimize total cost of ownership, enhance user experience and adoption, and deliver highquality, scalable solutions that support Ambarella's longterm growth.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted technology advisor to senior leaders and collaborate closely with functional leaders to prioritize initiatives and deliver measurable business value.
  • Provide leadership and direction for core enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP, HRIS, CRM, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and custom business applications).
  • Define and execute the enterprise application strategy and roadmap, aligned with business priorities and longterm growth plans.
  • Oversee the endtoend application lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Implement strong application governance, including access controls, data integrity, segregation of duties, and audit readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, data privacy regulations, information security policies, and internal IT controls.
  • Partner with Information Security and Internal Audit to proactively identify and mitigate applicationrelated risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement in user experience and system adoption.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a highperforming global applications team, fostering accountability, technical excellence, and collaboration.
  • Manage system integrators, software vendors, and outsourcing partners to ensure quality delivery and cost effectiveness.
  • Own the applications budget, including operating expenses, capital investments, and vendor contracts.
  • Optimize total cost of ownership while ensuring service quality and business continuity.
  • Provide regular reporting on project status, risks, and performance metrics to executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise application management, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Deep experience with largescale enterprise platforms (ERP, HRIS, Finance, Supply Chain, CRM) and complex system integrations.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and implementing the following platforms: Workday, Oracle 12, Azure, Adaptive.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance, SOX controls, data security, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead global teams and manage complex, crossfunctional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with senior business leaders and influencing at the executive level.
  • Must work in our Santa Clara, CA offices 4 days a week.

The base range is $251,000-$275,000. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. We also offer new hire RSU grants and the opportunity for annual RSU grants, as well as other highly competitive benefits.
