Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of clients during acute crises.
  • After initial intervention, deliver ongoing follow-up care and develop personalized treatment plans that promote sustained recovery and mental well-being.
  • Utilize advanced crisis intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques to effectively manage challenging situations, ensuring a supportive atmosphere for clients.
  • Participate in continuous professional development opportunities and training to enhance skills in crisis counseling and trauma-informed care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on individuals struggling with substance misuse along with accompanying mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, and trauma. Counselors will work closely with diverse client demographics, emphasizing cultural sensitivity and empathetic engagement to foster genuine trust and rapport.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution or university.
  • A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in crisis intervention and mental health counseling, especially within the context of addiction therapy.
  • Proficiency in crisis intervention methodologies and therapeutic techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and their families.
  • Ability to conduct rapid assessments and formulate client-centered treatment plans with input from clients.
  • A thorough understanding of ethical and legal standards in mental health practice.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialized training or certification in trauma-informed care, crisis de-escalation, or addiction counseling.
  • Experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and an understanding of cultural influences on mental health.
Compensation and Benefits
