Overview

CHENEGA BASE LOGISTICS SERVICES, LLC

Fort Wainwright, AK

The Quality Control Inspector performs on-site before, during, and after inspections of operations and work to ensure scope of work performed is within contract and industry standards and guidelines. Prepare and submit Inspection Reports in accordance with the Site Quality Control Plan (QCP) and quality program. Comply with ISO standards, corporate guidance, Performance Work Statement (PWS), and the internal processes / controls on the Base Operations and Maintenance Contract at Fort Wainwright, AK.

Responsibilities
  • Executes inspections that meet the goals, objectives, and standards of the site Quality Control Plan (QCP).
  • Performs QC contract compliance and reporting in accordance with contract requirements and specifications.
  • Prepares Inspection and Discrepancy, and Corrective/Preventive Action reports.
  • Inspects and observes contract team workforce, facilities, equipment, programs, and procedures for adequacy and effectiveness.
  • Identifies and documents deficiencies and recommends corrective action to the QCM to achieve maximum contract efficiency.
  • Collaborates with Supervisors and Leads to optimize use of resources. Reports all findings, recommendations, trend analyses, and deficiencies, directly to QCM.
  • Investigates and reports incidents, accidents, and noncompliance of quality, environmental, safety, and health policies and initiates root cause analysis of the deficiencies.
  • Maintains technical library, including standards, reference materials, warranties, and O&M manuals.
  • Analyzes and advises the QCM and supervisors on work accomplished, trends, problem areas, improvements.
  • Supports the project Safety Plan through personal involvement in all aspects of safety, including training and attention to the adherence to safety requirements pertaining to trades or skills.
  • This position may be part of an emergency management/response team as required by the company to meet contract requirements.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in quality control of construction and/or maintenance of Facilities, and/or Municipal Services.
  • Possess and maintain State Issued Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with Municipal Services or Maintenance contract experience Preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a quality management system in accordance with the applicable industry standards.
  • Knowledge of applicable environmental policies, programs, and laws.
  • Ability to analyze, develop, evaluate, advise, or promote improvements in programs.
  • Ability to comply and follow program objectives and goals and assess progress.
  • Possess the appropriate verbal and written communication skills to conduct inspections, briefings, meetings, prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
