Acumen Agency is developing Acumen TV, a business-focused media platform covering business, entrepreneurship, government, nonprofits, economics, industries, organizations, leaders, and important issues affecting communities and markets.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented TV Host & Business Correspondent to become an on-camera representative of Acumen TV.

This person will travel or work remotely to interview business leaders, entrepreneurs, executives, government representatives, nonprofit leaders, professionals, experts, and other notable individuals.

The ideal candidate is confident on camera, naturally curious, articulate, professional, and capable of conducting compelling interviews that turn into engaging television and digital content.

You do not necessarily need traditional television experience. Experienced podcast hosts, journalists, interviewers, YouTubers, broadcasters, content creators, and other strong on-camera personalities are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an on-camera host and correspondent for Acumen TV.
• Conduct interviews with business leaders, executives, entrepreneurs, government representatives, nonprofit leaders, and other notable guests.
• Research guests, companies, industries, organizations, and current issues before interviews.
• Develop compelling interview questions and conversation topics.
• Conduct interviews in studios, offices, conferences, trade shows, events, and other locations.
• Cover business events, conferences, trade shows, government activities, nonprofit initiatives, and other relevant events.
• Develop recurring programs, interview series, documentaries, features, and special segments.
• Work closely with videographers, camera operators, producers, video editors, writers, researchers, and other members of the production team.
• Help develop Acumen TV's editorial and programming strategy.
• Build relationships with potential guests, organizations, companies, government representatives, and media contacts.
• Help grow Acumen TV's audience across television, YouTube, social media, podcasts, websites, and other platforms.
• Identify opportunities to monetize Acumen TV and its content through advertising, sponsorships, partnerships, branded content, subscriptions, events, referrals, and other revenue opportunities.
• Help identify sponsors, advertisers, strategic partners, and commercial opportunities.
• Track audience growth, views, engagement, partnerships, sponsorships, leads, and revenue.

Qualifications

• Strong on-camera presence and communication skills.
• Excellent interviewing and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to research topics and ask intelligent, engaging questions.
• Professional, confident, and personable presentation style.
• Experience in television, broadcasting, journalism, podcasting, interviewing, YouTube, digital media, or content creation is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of business, government, nonprofit, economic, or current-affairs topics is valuable.
• Ability to work collaboratively with video production and editing teams.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with an understanding of content monetization and business development.
• A portfolio, demo reel, previous interviews, television appearances, podcast appearances, or other examples of on-camera work are strongly preferred.

Compensation & Career Opportunity

This opportunity begins on a performance-based basis, with compensation tied to measurable results including content production, audience growth, interviews, partnerships, sponsorships, business opportunities, and revenue generated.

Successful candidates may transition into a full-time salaried position and potentially become a senior or executive leader within Acumen TV as the media division expands.
