Active Skill Wellness in Warner Robins, Georgia, is seeking dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapists to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team in a full-time capacity. Our professionals work collaboratively to diagnose and treat developmental challenges faced by children, with particular expertise and focus on those at risk for autism spectrum disorder.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will take on a diverse range of responsibilities, including:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of children’s functional abilities through clinical observations, standardized tests, and interviews with families.
• Developing personalized treatment plans aimed at maximizing each patient’s potential for independence and improving their overall quality of life.
• Implementing innovative, evidence-based therapeutic interventions that address specific needs, including those related to feeding and swallowing impairments.
• Providing education and support to families, empowering them to implement therapeutic strategies in everyday routines.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and accurate documentation of clinical findings for each child.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on pediatric patients, particularly children who may be experiencing developmental delays or disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum. We strive to create a nurturing environment where children feel safe and supported throughout their treatment journey. Understanding the unique challenges faced by each child is at the core of our therapeutic approach.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited AOTA program (candidates graduating prior to 2004 are eligible with a Bachelor's).
• Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• A valid driver's license and auto insurance when applicable.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, utilizing critical thinking and strong clinical judgment in patient care situations.

Preferred Experience

In addition to the minimum qualifications, candidates who possess the following will be given preference:

• A Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in pediatric occupational therapy, particularly in settings dealing with feeding issues.
• Board certification in advanced practice areas, such as Sensory Integration (SWC), Hand Therapy Certification (HTC), or Pediatric Occupational Therapy (PAM).

Compensation and Benefits

Active Skill Wellness offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 90,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary, exceptional benefits are available, including:
