The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality mental health services to individuals struggling with various mental health challenges, ensuring clients receive comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs.

About the Organization

Active Minds Behavioral Counseling is an outpatient mental health clinic committed to providing accessible, evidence-based treatments for individuals across all age groups. We strive to create a supportive environment that promotes healing and personal growth. Our team specializes in the diagnosis and management of diverse mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, and depression, leveraging an array of therapeutic techniques that foster resilience and recovery.

Work Environment

This full-time role is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while connecting with clients virtually. Our Detox Center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with other mental health professionals. You will be supported by a cross-functional team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to facilitate a holistic approach to clients' mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to understand clients' mental health issues, strengths, and available resources.
  • Provide evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy, employing methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care.
  • Develop and execute personalized treatment plans incorporating specific goals and interventions, regularly reviewing progress and making necessary adjustments.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration, liaising with team members to create coordinated treatment strategies that prioritize clients’ wellbeing.
  • Offer interventions for crisis situations, including real-time risk assessments and safety planning, to support clients in acute distress.
  • Document client interactions meticulously in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring that records are current and reflective of clients' journeys.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and psychoeducation classes, encouraging a communal approach to healing and support among clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with individuals who are navigating various mental health challenges connected to substance use, including those in detox and recovery phases. Your role will be pivotal in creating safe therapeutic spaces where clients can explore their experiences and emotional challenges, fostering their ability to develop coping strategies and personal insights. Additionally, the role involves addressing diverse needs and backgrounds, making cultural competence and sensitivity essential components of the Care Provider’s approach.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of an active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a mental health or outpatient clinical setting is required.
  • Strong knowledge of various evidence-based therapeutic methods and a demonstrated ability to apply them effectively in client interactions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills to build rapport with clients and collaboratively work within a team framework.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience specifically working in detox or substance use treatment settings.
  • Proficiency in integrated care models and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Prior participation in continuing education or professional development related to advanced therapeutic strategies and interventions.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges between $80,000 and $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Comprehensive health insurance, encompassing medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Retirement plans with employer matching contributions to help you secure your financial future.
  • Generous paid time off policy, including vacation, personal days, and observed holidays.
  • Opportunities for ongoing education and training to support your professional growth and clinical skill enhancement.
  • Insurance coverage for continued wellbeing.
