GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Access to Achievement Support Assistant will provide support for the Access to Achievement initiative. This position will provide support, coaching, tutoring, and technical assistance specifically to Access to Achievement students. The individual may also be responsible for providing office support, which requires interacting with students, performing computer work, filing, attention to detail, and professional customer service skills. The position reports to the Access to Achievement Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
  • Associate's degree or higher
  • One year's experience working with students

Preferred:
  • Experience working with students who identify as having intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • One year of secretarial or clerical work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or related field
  • Post-secondary training in business or related field

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Provide support and coaching to students with learning challenges in areas of need
    1. Assist in basic technical support of various programs
    2. Assist in navigation of Canvas courses
  • Provide administrative support for Access to Achievement initiative
    1. Assist in Person-Centered Planning for students
    2. Track student outcomes
    3. Assist in local marketing, outreach, and student recruitment efforts
    4. Help guide students in the application process
    5. Input student registration data
  • Maintain strong organizational skills and work efficiently
  • Provide other support as needed
