    Contract- 1 Year

    Client- Georgia Power

    Experience Required: 10 – 15 Years 


    About the Role

    We are seeking a highly experienced Materials Specialist (Level 3) to manage full-cycle materials procurement, inventory control, vendor coordination, and material distribution for major projects. The ideal candidate has strong experience supporting field teams, ensuring material availability, preventing shortages, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and sustainability.


    Key Responsibilities

    Materials Procurement & Vendor Management

    • Oversee procurement of materials, tools, and equipment needed for project execution.

    • Negotiate and maintain relationships with suppliers; monitor vendor performance.

    • Ensure timely delivery and cost-effective sourcing.

    Inventory & Distribution

    • Maintain organized inventory systems for materials and equipment.

    • Develop processes for tracking real-time inventory levels and material usage.

    • Coordinate delivery and distribution of materials to field/project teams.

    • Allocate resources efficiently to reduce waste and prevent shortages.

    Quality, Safety & Sustainability

    • Implement strict quality control checks on incoming materials.

    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and sustainability goals.

    • Train team members on safe material handling and storage protocols.

    Documentation, Reporting & Budgeting

    • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, stock levels, receipts, and distribution.

    • Prepare material usage reports, KPI tracking, and inventory analytics.

    • Assist in developing and managing materials-related budgets; identify cost-saving opportunities.

    Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement

    • Troubleshoot complex materials issues affecting timelines or quality.

    • Recommend process improvements to optimize procurement, storage, and distribution operations.


    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Logistics, Business, Construction, or related field.

    • 10–15 years of experience in materials procurement, inventory management, warehouse/distribution operations, or supply chain roles.

    • Strong knowledge of construction or industrial project materials, equipment, and vendor industries.

    • Demonstrated success managing complex material requirements for multi-site or large-scale projects.

    • Advanced knowledge of inventory management systems, tracking software, and ERP tools.

    • Excellent communication and vendor negotiation skills.

    • Proven ability to lead safety practices and enforce material-handling procedures.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions independently.


    Preferred Skills
    • Certification in supply chain or logistics (e.g., APICS, CSCP, CPIM) – a plus

    • Experience managing budgets for materials and capital projects

    • Strong Microsoft Excel & reporting skills
