Job description

Associate | Investment Banking (M&A & Strategic Advisory)
Sector: Power and Utilities
The Firm
Elite Boutique is a fully integrated investment banking team specializing in the transformation of core infrastructure systems. We are the global leader in providing M&A and capital formation services for sustainable technology and infrastructure clients. With a team of 120+ dedicated professionals across 9 global offices, we combine deep sector intimacy with the massive reach of Nomura's global network (30 countries).
The Role
As an Associate, you will be the "engine room" of the transaction team. You are expected to move beyond technical execution into a leadership role, managing Analysts and acting as a primary point of contact for clients. You will work on high-profile, cross-border mandates that are actively decarbonizing the global economy across Energy, Food, Water, and Waste sectors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Transaction Leadership: Lead the execution of M&A mandates, private placements, and capital raises from inception to close.
  • Advanced Financial Modeling: Oversee and review complex multi-tab models, including three-statement projections, DCF, LBO, merger consequences, and specialized infrastructure yield analysis.
  • Strategic Narrative: Spearhead the creation of high-impact marketing materials, including Information Memorandums (CIMs), management presentations, and industry "deep-dive" thought leadership.
  • Client Management: Serve as a key liaison for C-suite executives and Private Equity sponsors, providing sophisticated advice on valuation and tactical positioning.
  • Team Mentorship: Manage, train, and develop a pool of Analysts, ensuring technical accuracy and professional growth.

Why Nomura Greentech?
  • #1 Ranked Benefits: According to Aon's Benefit Index®, Nomura's benefits package is ranked #1 against all major investment banking competitors.
  • High-Growth Sector: While other sectors face cyclical slowdowns, the "Energy Transition" is a multi-decade secular trend with massive capital inflows.
  • Global Exposure: Work seamlessly with colleagues in Tokyo, New York, London, and Singapore on complex cross-border deals.
  • Entrepreneurial Culture: We value "disciplined entrepreneurship"-you will have the autonomy to think creatively and the resources to execute globally.

The Candidate Profile
  • Experience: 3+ years of Investment Banking experience (typically 1 year as an Associate or a top-tier "Third-Year Analyst" ready for promotion).
  • Sector Passion: A demonstrable interest in sustainable technology, renewable energy, or the circular economy.
  • Technical Excellence: Expert-level proficiency in financial modeling and a "zero-error" mindset regarding technical output.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to distill complex financial concepts into a compelling narrative.
