What is a Brazilian?

Brazilians are people who are citizens or natives of Brazil, the largest country in South America. They come from a diverse mix of ethnic backgrounds, reflecting Brazil's rich history of Indigenous, European, African, and Asian influences. Culturally, Brazilians are known for their love of music, festivals like Carnival, and a strong sense of community. Portuguese is the official language, and the country is famous for its vibrant traditions, cuisine, and natural beauty.

What are some common challenges faced by Brazilian Portuguese translators when working with international teams?

Brazilian Portuguese translators often face challenges such as navigating cultural nuances, adapting content for local audiences, and maintaining clear communication with international teams who may not be familiar with Brazilian customs or idiomatic expressions. Additionally, time zone differences can make real-time collaboration more difficult, requiring strong organizational skills and flexibility. Successful translators proactively address these issues by staying updated on linguistic trends and fostering open communication with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

Creator Outreach Associate Contractor (Brazilian Portuguese Fluency)

Twitch

Contractor

Job description

About Us:

Twitch is the world's biggest live streaming service, with global communities built around gaming, entertainment, music, sports, cooking, and more. It is where thousands of communities come together for whatever, every day.

We're about community, inside and out. You'll find coworkers who are eager to team up, collaborate, and smash (or elegantly solve) problems together. We're on a quest to empower live communities, so if this sounds good to you, see what we're up to on LinkedIn and X, and discover the projects we're solving on our Blog.

About the Role:

Twitch is searching for a Brazilian Portuguese-speaking Creator Outreach Associate to identify, persuade, and successfully onboard emerging Portuguese-speaking talent to the Twitch livestreaming community. As the ideal candidate, you are fascinated by creator communities and stay on the cutting edge of creator and influencer trends and cultural moments. You are fluent in the ever-evolving language of creators and influencers. You know where the next generation of live streamers will be found, how to get them to Twitch, and how to get them set up and streaming successfully. You'll be determined, organized, methodical, and have a deep personal drive to see new creators succeed on Twitch. You'll operate with a high degree of autonomy, be quick to learn, and always look for new ways to improve your work. You'll work hand in hand with the Brazil team to bring creators to the service. This is a high-volume, metrics-driven role: you'll be responsible for reaching out to a weekly target of new creators and guiding them through to their first stream. Targets may adjust over time with business needs. This is a fixed-term contract position based in the United States, ending mid-December 2026.

You Will:

  • Search widely across platforms and communities to spot emerging talent, understand what's resonating culturally, and proactively reach out to creators who could thrive on Twitch.
  • Initiate confident cold outreach and persuade creators to see Twitch as an exciting, meaningful next step in their careers.
  • Stay deeply plugged into creator trends, rising influencers, new platforms, and cultural moments that shape where audiences gather.
  • Guide creators through their earliest steps on Twitch-making onboarding clear, supportive, and geared toward getting them confidently to their first stream.
  • Work hand in hand with the Brazil team to identify, engage, and bring Brazilian Portuguese-speaking creators to the service.
  • Own each creator relationship from first outreach through their first stream, then hand off to a Strategic Partner Manager with clear context (creator background, onboarding notes, first-stream feedback) for ongoing development.
  • Manage your outreach pipeline in a CRM-logging touchpoints, updating lead status, and keeping records clean.
  • Validate leads before outreach (confirm follower counts, check a creator isn't already assigned) to keep the pipeline accurate and avoid duplicate outreach.

You Have:

  • Must be based in the United States and legally authorized to work and be paid in the US for the duration of the contract.
  • Fully fluent in Engish and Brazilian Portuguese (spoken and written) with the ability to conduct outreach and build relationships with Brazilian Portuguese-speaking creators.
  • Ability to work hours aligned to Brazil's time zone, at minimum, to collaborate with the Brazil team and creators.
  • Prior experience in a quota-carrying outreach, sales, or talent-scouting role.
  • Proven interest and knowledge in one of: creator support, lead generation, influencer marketing, or community management.
  • A genuine passion for livestreaming and internet culture, and a strong understanding of the creator economy-including where creators are rising across platforms (Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc.) and what's driving content trends.
  • Determination to find and bring new creators to Twitch, and to support and grow them, with a deep desire to help shape the future of the platform.
  • Comfort with CRM and creator-analytics tools, or the ability to learn them quickly, to manage a pipeline and source creators efficiently.

Bonus Points

  • Personal experience as a live streamer or content creator, familiarity with live streaming tools and software.
  • Existing relationships with a wide variety of Brazilian Portguese-speaking content creators across platforms.
  • Intimate knowledge of the Brazilian creator landscape and Portuguese-speaking creator communities.
