About the Role
Suno is seeking a Director, Business Development, Publishing Partnerships to drive the strategy and execution of commercial relationships with music publishers. You will be a lead dealmaker in shaping how Suno partners with the publishing ecosystem.
This role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and sits at the intersection of music, technology, and AI. It requires expertise in music publishing, extensive negotiation experience, comfort operating without a playbook, and the ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives across product, legal, finance, operations, and partnerships. This is a senior individual contributor role.

What You'll Do
  • Support Suno's commercial strategy for partnerships with companies in the music industry, driving alignment across product, legal, finance, and operations
  • Negotiate and close deals with publishers, including first-of-kind deal structures in a category that is still being defined
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with such companies to expand Suno's reputation and credibility
  • Monitor the competitive and evolving landscape in AI music, advising leadership on market dynamics, industry engagement strategy, and partnership opportunities
  • Develop scalable approaches to contract management, partner operations, and long-term industry collaboration
  • Support strategic initiatives across ecosystem partnerships, and platform integrations as Suno's commercial footprint grows

What You'll Need
  • 10+ years of experience in business development and/or commercial negotiations within the music and digital technology space
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating and closing complex, high-value deals, including forging first-of-a-kind partnerships
  • Experience working with music publishers
  • Strong track record of influencing and aligning stakeholders across multiple levels, including executive leadership
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to execute multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
  • High degree of autonomy, ownership, and strategic judgment; comfort navigating situations where there is no established playbook
  • Strong product intuition and experience collaborating closely with product and technical teams
  • Experience operating effectively in fast-paced, high-growth technology environments

Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is $225,000 - $290,000 (before equity)
