Job description

The Sales Account Executive creates growth opportunities by calling on established advertising agencies, established local businesses and new business prospects with a full portfolio of multi-platform advertising solutions. They will be goal-oriented, pro-active and a self-starter with a drive for innovation.

  • Implement strategies using broadcast and digital assets to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals.
  • Establishes credible relationships with the local client business community to become the advertiser's trusted business partner.
  • AEs are expected to prospect, set appointments, diagnose client needs, develop customized client solutions to then present and close both traditional and non-traditional advertisers.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Minimum two years' experience in sales but three plus years preferred in the media field.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing the strategies and actions to achieve them.
  • Proficiency with Wide Orbit Media Sales, Wide Orbit Traffic, Matrix for Media are all preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding presentation ability.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Zoom Info with proficiency in Microsoft and Google Office products.
  • Effectively maintains assigned accounts and develops new accounts using a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system to have visibility into a sales funnel that creates a strong pipeline for future business growth.
  • Utilize both broadcast and digital data sets including ratings data, qualitative information, and metrics dashboards to exceed client expectations and understanding.
  • Explain to customers how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible. Works in developing creative ideas and in the development of advertisements.
  • Provides clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement in all media. Includes account management tasks such as makegood resolutions, effective communication with station leadership, credit applications for clients and help in accounting and collections.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
