Job description

Surveillance Officer

Job Category: Gaming - Surveillance

Rate: $18.50 USD per hour

Location: Dover, DE 19901, USA

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Observes the facility through the pan, zoom and tilt cameras and records all pertinent activity on the Surveillance system.
  • Coordinates with the supervisor to record the questionable activity for review and possible use as evidence in court.
  • Conducts the same type of observations of the gaming areas as directed.
  • Responsible for the detection of cheating, theft, and other illegal activities.
  • Prepares daily logs of all pertinent activity.
  • Logs and marks video clips and stores them in one of several repositories on Surveillance system.
  • Observes the facility entrances, the cashiers' cage, vaults and count rooms.
  • Observes and verifies chip fills and kiosk cassette fills.
  • Monitors fire alarm panel and coordinate the response to fire alarms and system troubles, notifying proper persons in accordance with established procedures.
  • Makes timely notification to appropriate management, supervisors, Delaware State Lottery, and/or the Division of Gaming Enforcement.
  • Monitors Security radio transmissions.
  • Monitors Slots Management, DSX Door Access, Fire Panel and Biometrica computer systems.
  • Coordinates response to hold-up alarms.
  • Provides exceptional customer service.
  • Works safely, following all established safety rules and regulations.
  • Communicates effectively with co-workers, supervisors and guests.
  • Follows all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights as scheduled

Qualifications Education

High School or better.

Experience

Must possess High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience. Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office products. Must possess good communication skills. Must be able to distinguish all colors. Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights as needed. Must be able to successfully pass a background check and receive a license from the DE Lottery. Must adhere to the Close Personal Relationship Policy - Surveillance. Employees are prohibited from having close personal relationships with all other employees. Must be able to learn specific job duties and complete detailed work assignments, and to maintain knowledge of basic concepts and techniques. Must be able to speak, read and write English.
