About Us:

Flytrex is revolutionizing suburban on-demand delivery from the skies up, literally. As the leading drone delivery company in the U.S., we’re scaling our operations across Dallas–Fort Worth, bringing ultrafast, on-demand delivery to doorsteps via autonomous aircraft.

What You’ll Do:

The Flytrex team is looking for entrepreneurial, driven individuals who want to join our Operations Team in Houston.

As a Real Estate and Development Manager, you’ll work directly with our leadership teams identifying and launching specific locations that our drones can take off and land at. These locations will be designated areas close to our clients and consumers. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the real estate including maintenance agreements, utility agreements, lease negotiations, and ongoing relationships with brokers and landlords.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating and communicating between the various teams, including our team of operators on the ground, brokers, landlords, internal leadership, and various government and local town councils. You will be responsible for all zoning, lease, and utility agreements for each assigned real estate location. You’ll play a key role in advocating for Flytrex and meeting potential customers or partners, as well as providing customer support as required.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of land use planning, zoning, permitting, and commercial and mixed-use development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all search and sourcing duties for drone sites and ensure all maintenance agreements are in place and executed to ensure the site is at its best “showtime” condition.
  • Assist with the coordination and operation of drone delivery sites in Houston and other Metros as needed.
  • Lead relationships with local brokers, landlords, town councils, and governments.
  • Responsible for all required paperwork, contracts, zoning for each site.
  • Negotiate leases for new drone site locations as well as lease renewals for existing stations.
  • Engage with city planners, zoning officials, and building departments to streamline permitting processes.

Why Join Us:

  • Be part of a category-defining company at the forefront of autonomous delivery
  • Join a high-growth, high-impact startup with real-world operations
  • Opportunities for growth as we expand nationally
  • A fast-paced, collaborative, and mission-driven environment
  • Mileage reimbursement for work related car rides

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • A proactive, reliable, and flexible attitude
  • Comfortable with hands-on tasks and learning new tech tools
  • Proficiency in construction and design software such as Smartsheet, Bluebeam, (Revit / AutoCAD a bonus) and ability to review drawings and plans.
