Job description

Pay: $18 - $22 an hour plus overtime & up to a $2000 hiring bonus!
We are seeking highly motivated individuals to fill the position of Irrigation Wet Check Specialist. An Irrigation Wet Check Specialist is a professional who performs detailed, hands-on inspections (wet checks) of landscape sprinkler systems to diagnose problems, ensure efficient water use, and make necessary repairs or adjustments. This covers everything from clogged nozzles and leaks to programming controllers and checking pump performance. They act as system "doctors," identifying inefficiencies and costly issues before they escalate, ensuring optimal coverage and preventing waste.
Compensation is based upon experience. We pay guaranteed overtime, offer weekly pay and direct deposit. Our irrigation technicians make between $40,000 and $50,000 per year. There are opportunities for performance bonuses and a Simple IRA, plus PTO.

The ideal candidate for the irrigation technician position will have a background in irrigation repairs and irrigation systems and be able to work independently.
Responsibilities:ย 
  • Zone-by-Zone Inspection: Operate each zone to check water flow, pressure, spray patterns, and coverage.
  • Component Repair: Fix or replace broken sprinkler heads, clogged nozzles, faulty valves, and cut lines. Installation of all types of irrigation system components.
  • Controller & Tech Check: Verify and reprogram timers, adjust schedules, and check rain sensors for proper function.
  • Leak Detection: Find and fix leaks in lateral lines and around valve boxes.
  • System Diagnostics: Inspect pumps and electrical components for issues like losing prime. Ability to use a wire tracker.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Set up ongoing programs to keep systems running efficiently.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to be part of a team.
