Job description

Job Summary -
We are seeking a dependable Striping Crew Laborer to assist with pavement marking and striping projects on roadways, parking lots, and other paved surfaces. This role involves supporting the crew with site preparation, layout, painting, cleanup, and traffic control. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Assist with layout and preparation of work areas for striping, including measuring and chalk lining
  • Load, unload, and organize paint, thermoplastic materials, stencils, and equipment
  • Operate hand tools and support striping machinery under supervision
  • Mask and protect surfaces that do not require markings
  • Apply paint or thermoplastic material using sprayers, hand liners, or other tools as directed
  • Set up traffic control devices and signage to ensure safe work zones
  • Perform cleanup of tools, equipment, and job site at the end of each shift
  • Follow instructions from the Foreman and communicate effectively with team members
  • Wear proper PPE and comply with all safety requirements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements -

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Previous experience in pavement marking or construction is a plus, but not required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods
  • Comfortable working outdoors in heat and inclement weather
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
  • Valid driver’s license preferred; CDL is a plus
  • Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed
  • Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area
