The IT Support Technician will provide hands-on technical support to employees and to maintain the systems and equipment they rely on every day. You'll own the helpdesk queue, manage endpoints and inventory, administer user accounts across Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, and keep our office network and wireless infrastructure running. Must be a resourceful problem-solver who works well in a fast paced environment and who handles protected health information (PHI) and user access with the care our HIPAA and SOC 2 obligations require.

Responsibilities

  • Break-fix, hardware and software troubleshooting and maintenance for laptops, printers, and other IT equipment provided.
  • Helpdesk management and ticket routing.
  • Onboarding and offboarding management and configuration.
  • User account administration includes password resets, new user setups, and groups and calendars.
  • Microsoft 365 administration includes Azure, Microsoft Teams, Intune, Defender, Purview, and Entra ID.
  • Google Workspace administration.
  • Domain administration working with GoDaddy, Azure, and Microsoft 365.
  • Remote user troubleshooting and patch management.
  • User PC refresh and replacements.
  • IT equipment ordering and inventory management.
  • Wireless network administration and troubleshooting, including access point deployment and configuration, SSID and VLAN segmentation, guest network isolation, and diagnosis of coverage, roaming, and interference issues.
  • Support of network configurations and policies, including firewall management, DNS, DHCP, switches, and routers.
  • Documentation and tracking of assets, changes, and support activity in support of HIPAA and SOC 2 requirements.
  • Handle PHI and user access in accordance with company security and privacy policies.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise wireless networking, including access point configuration, WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise authentication, and RF and channel troubleshooting.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field, or the equivalent of 3 or more years of experience.
  • Able to lift more than 10 lbs. and to move throughout the office and equipment closets as needed.
  • On-call availability.
