Job Description

As part of the largest manufacturing site in North America, with nearly 2,000 employees plant-wide, this team plays a vital role in our production process. What you can look forward to as a Controls Engineer:
  • Coordinate Engineering projects with I.T. to ensure a robust systems infrastructure.
  • Control planning for new projects, variants, customers and integrators.
  • Lead projects and installations with regard to control systems for production equipment.
  • Coordinate traffic from SAP to thin clients and PLC's.
  • Continuously improve and upgrade equipment.
  • Make changes to enhance the machine functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and solve errors and problems on production equipment.
  • Provide information for product specifications for the purchase of equipment regarding Automation and Controls.

Your profile as a Controls Engineer:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required and 2+ years of previous experience working as a Controls Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC and Controls in manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience in assembly/manufacturing environment, equipment development, Siemens PLC S7/Tia Portal, and programming.
  • Proficient with Microsoft and CAD software.
  • Capable of making sound decisions in a timely manner.
  • 5+ years of plant problem solving experience on manufacturing equipment preferred.
